Railport Arad is committed to be a real alternative solution in the process of combined transportation and wishes to offer environmentally friendly transport means for intermodal traffic in the region, contributing to the European transport strategy of shifting cargo streams from road to rail.

Railport Arad aims to play a major role as a key terminal operator of the CEE region, focusing on serving both the continental and the intercontinental traffic and willing to become an even bigger hub for the cargo flows between Western and Eastern Europe, and to Turkey as well.

Total land area: 10.3 ha
Built-in area: 9 ha
Total storage capacity: full/ empty 3.000 TEU
Parking lot for trailers waiting to be railed
Railway tracks: 5 tracks of more than 600 meters each under the cranes and 2 tracks for parking wagon sets
Equipment: 4 RTG cranes and 3 reach-stackers, meaning an annual lifting capacity of 180.000 units. Our 3 terminal tractors can move the trailers to and from the train.

With regular block train connections amounting to 30 roundtrips / week, Railport Arad is a major point on Rail Freight Corridor 7. We have multiple trains / week to: Genk (BE), Köln, Duisburg, Herne, Rostock, Hamburg (DE), Lambach (AT), Budapest (HU), Lovosice (CZ).

With its excellent location, Railport Arad is on the biggest Hungarian- Romanian railway crossing border point, within short shunting distance of Curtici railway station, 15 km from Arad, 20 km from A1 motorway.

With all public utilities available and with the close proximity of Trade Trans Terminal, which offers warehousing solutions, Railport Arad is a strategic center for intermodal traffic.
