About us

Railport Arad intermodal terminal, part of Curtici Cargo Center, is the biggest and most up-to-date inland terminal in Romania and also one of the largest in Central and Eastern Europe region.

With an initial investment of 11 million EUR, the activity started in 2009. In 2016 the second phase of construction of 9 million EUR was implemented.

Railport Arad SRL belongs to Trade Trans Group (71%) and to Rail Cargo Group (29%).

  • Total land area: 10.3 ha
  • Built-in area: 9 ha
  • Total storage capacity: full/ empty 3.000 TEU
  • Parking lot for trailers waiting to be railed
  • Railway tracks: 5 tracks of more than 600 meters each under the cranes and 2 tracks for parking wagon sets
  • Equipment: 4 RTG cranes and 3 reach-stackers, meaning an annual lifting capacity of 180.000 units. Our 3 terminal tractors can move the trailers to and from the train.
